Position Summary
The Superintendent leads field operations for major healthcare construction projects in Wilmington, NC. This role will oversee a ground-up, three-story rehabilitation hospital as well as related healthcare work. The Superintendent is accountable for schedule oversight, budget coordination, safety enforcement, quality control, subcontractor management, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a ground-up, three-story rehabilitation hospital project (approximately 90,000 SF)
- Oversee daily field operations, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Manage jobsite safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with project management and design teams
- Maintain communication with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Track milestones and proactively resolve field-level issues
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5–10 years of commercial construction experience
- Healthcare construction experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead large, ground-up construction projects
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite in Wilmington or nearby areas
- Willingness to travel as project needs require
