Role Snapshot 

The Production Supervisor supports the Director of Operations and Production Manager by overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations on the assigned shift. This role is highly hands-on, spending approximately 50% of the time in direct labor, while also acting as a people leader, safety champion, and quality owner for the area of responsibility. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Execute daily production plans by scheduling work, assigning personnel, and monitoring workflow
  • Communicate job expectations and monitor performance through coaching, counseling, and training 
  • Supervise and support manufacturing staff to meet production, quality, and safety goals 
  • Spend approximately 50% of time performing direct labor alongside the team 
  • Monitor production processes, equipment, and staffing levels to maintain efficiency
  • Identify and address safety, health, and environmental hazards 
  • Act as quality inspector for assigned areas and enforce quality standards 
  • Ensure materials and supplies are available to support production 
  • Compile and analyze production performance data and shift reports 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment 
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of production team members 

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • High School diploma or GED required 
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft products 
  • Valid driver’s license required 
  • Ability to work a 2nd shift role (or flexibility for off-shifts)
