Job Overview:  

The clinic is seeking a dedicated Obstetrician & Gynecologist to provide high-quality, OHIP- insured obstetrical and gynecological care. This position is ideal for a physician who thrives in a busy outpatient environment, enjoys working with a diverse community, and is operationally strong with excellent follow-through.

Responsibilities: 

Clinical Care 

  • Provide comprehensive OB-GYN services under OHIP in an outpatient setting 
  • Prenatal and postpartum care 
  • Routine gynecologic assessments and well-woman visits 
  • Management of menstrual, reproductive, and hormonal conditions 
  • Contraception counselling and family planning 
  • Fertility assessments and early pregnancy support 
  • Perform in-clinic procedures including: 
          IUD insertion and removal
          Colposcopy
          Endometrial biopsy 
          Hysteroscopy, if applicable 

Patient Management 

  • Create individualized care plans and perform regular follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system 
  • Educate patients on reproductive health and preventive care 
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse communities and patient needs

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Work closely with physicians, midwives, nurses, and administrative staff 
  • Provide consultation support for family physicians 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions when needed 
  • Maintain respectful, compassionate communication with all patient groups 

Compliance & Quality Assurance 

  • Adhere to CPSO standards, PHIPA regulations, infection-control practices, and OHIP billing rules
  • Maintain CME and ensure up-to-date clinical knowledge
  • Participate in clinic quality-improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • MD from an accredited medical school 
  • Fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynecology (FRCSC) 
  • Active or eligible CPSO license
  • CMPA coverage 
  • Experience in ambulatory OB-GYN is an asset 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural-competency skills 
  • High-functioning, organized, and operationally strong
