Position Overview
This role leads municipal infrastructure projects from planning through construction. Responsible for technical delivery, regulatory compliance, client management, budget oversight, and team leadership across water, sewer, stormwater, roadway, and site development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of municipal water, sewer, stormwater, roadway, and site projects
- Prepare basis of design reports, feasibility studies, and final construction documents
- Serve as primary client liaison and manage contract negotiations
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans
- Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure QA/QC and technical accuracy of all deliverables
- Mentor and supervise engineers, EITs, and CAD staff
- Participate in proposal preparation and business development efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Arizona Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 8+ years progressive civil engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years managing municipal infrastructure projects
- Experience with water, sewer, stormwater, and roadway design
- Proficiency in Civil3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD
- Strong understanding of municipal codes and MAG standards
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects
- Strong technical writing and client communication skills
