About the Opportunity 

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Superintendent to lead 2nd shift operations in a high- volume food manufacturing environment. This role oversees Maintenance Supervisors and drives performance, efficiency, and safety across plant operations. 

Position Overview 

The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading maintenance leadership teams, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong change management and hands-on operational expertise. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee and lead Maintenance Supervisors on 2nd shift 
• Drive operational efficiency, yields, and profitability 
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation 
• Implement and enforce safety and ergonomic programs
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and company standards 
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct team meetings and reinforce policies and procedures
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to teams 
• Maintain high standards for sanitation, quality, and performance 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing 
• Food manufacturing experience required 
• Strong leadership and change management experience 
• Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration 
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP standards 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP 
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

Preferred Experience 

• Meat processing or kill/harvest floor experience 
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
• Experience leading multiple supervisors 
• Experience in high-volume production environments 

Compensation & Benefits 

• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 + bonus
