The Role
Our client, a respected law firm in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day litigation matters. This is a fully onsite role requiring prior hands-on litigation support experience in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and electronically file court documents, pleadings, and motions
- Draft correspondence, memos, and routine litigation-related documents
- Organize case files and track litigation deadlines and calendars
- Coordinate scheduling, calls, and meetings for attorneys
- Communicate professionally with court staff, clients, and internal legal teams
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Transcribe dictation and manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Track reimbursements and submit payment or expense requests
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting litigation attorneys in a law firm setting
- Working knowledge of court procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation documents
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Exposure to legal technology tools such as iManage, InTapp, LMS+, or similar systems
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Must-Haves
- 3+ years direct litigation legal assistant experience
- Experience with court filings, pleadings, and litigation documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Local to or able to commute daily to West Palm Beach, FL
- Salary requirement provided (not open or negotiable)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- No sponsorship required now or in the future
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience tracking litigation deadlines and managing legal calendars
- Dictation transcription and legal correspondence preparation experience
- Legal coursework, certification, or paralegal training
- Experience with Kofax/Nuance or similar document software
