Position Overview 

Seeking a senior Heavy Civil Estimator with deep NYC market experience. This role requires strong technical estimating ability across complex heavy civil scopes including excavation, support of excavation, concrete structures, piling, and infrastructure work. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead estimating efforts for complex heavy civil projects
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for excavation, concrete, and infrastructure scopes 
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents 
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals 
• Develop competitive pricing strategies for NYC projects 
• Coordinate with operations and project management teams during bid development 
• Support bidding for public and private infrastructure projects 

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years estimating experience with established NYC heavy civil contractors 
• Proven track record delivering complex heavy civil projects in New York City 
• Expertise in deep excavation and heavy Support of Excavation 
• Experience with heavy concrete including mass pours and elevated slabs 
• Experience with concrete on metal deck and superstructure concrete 
• Pile drilling and pile driving experience including driven piles and drilled shafts 
• Waterproofing systems for below-grade structures 
• Rock excavation experience, controlled blasting preferred 
• De-watering and groundwater control experience 
• Experience bidding large-scale NYC infrastructure or transportation projects preferred
