Position Overview
A growing engineering and construction services organization is seeking an Engineer-in- Training to support field-based engineering evaluations and project execution. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering applications while working directly with senior engineering leadership.
This is a long-term development opportunity with a defined path toward professional licensure, leadership responsibility, and increased technical ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering evaluations for residential and commercial structures
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations
- Support preparation of engineering documentation and technical recommendations
- Learn applied engineering design methods under licensed engineers
- Coordinate with field personnel to ensure plans are executed properly
- Assist with oversight of project execution and field staff during evaluations
- Gain exposure to scheduling, materials coordination, and operational workflows
- Perform physical tasks associated with site inspections and active job sites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training certification or actively pursuing certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in practical, field-driven engineering applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working on active job sites and in physically demanding environments
