Position Overview 

A growing engineering and construction services organization is seeking an Engineer-in- Training to support field-based engineering evaluations and project execution. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering applications while working directly with senior engineering leadership. 

This is a long-term development opportunity with a defined path toward professional licensure, leadership responsibility, and increased technical ownership. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with engineering evaluations for residential and commercial structures 
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations 
  • Support preparation of engineering documentation and technical recommendations 
  • Learn applied engineering design methods under licensed engineers
  • Coordinate with field personnel to ensure plans are executed properly
  • Assist with oversight of project execution and field staff during evaluations 
  • Gain exposure to scheduling, materials coordination, and operational workflows 
  • Perform physical tasks associated with site inspections and active job sites 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Engineer-in-Training certification or actively pursuing certification 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interest in practical, field-driven engineering applications 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Comfortable working on active job sites and in physically demanding environments
