ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an ECVC Associate Attorney with 4–8 years of law firm experience in venture capital and/or mergers and acquisitions to join our client’s ECVC practice. This role is critical due to high client demand and continued growth. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled corporate attorney who can lead transactions and interact directly with founders, CEOs, management teams, and boards of directors for both company-side and investor-side clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead transactions and interact directly with founders, CEOs, management teams, and boards of directors
- Advise high-growth businesses at all stages, from pre-seed to pre-IPO
- Work on SAFEs, preferred stock financings, and corporate governance matters
- Counsel management on matters ranging from formation to exits
- Advise venture capital firms and institutional investors on emerging growth companies
- Build relationships within the private technology and life sciences company ecosystem
- Work with clients across industries including AI, digital health, defense tech, life sciences, electronic gaming, and fintech
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 4 – 8 years of experience in corporate law with a focus on ECVC and/or M&A
- Current experience at an AM Law 50 firm – REQUIRED
- Strong background in venture capital transactions and emerging company representation
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions independently
