Role Snapshot 

This is an entry-level Design Engineer role supporting the design and development of mechanical products in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to support product design, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the design and development of mechanical components and systems 
• Assist senior engineers with product design, testing, and documentation 
• Create and update engineering drawings and design documentation 
• Support manufacturing teams with design clarifications and revisions 
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives 
• Assist with engineering change requests and revisions 
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards 

Education & Experience Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 
• 1+ year of engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience
• Exposure to heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred 
• Trailer or heavy equipment manufacturing experience is a plus 
• Basic proficiency with CAD and design software 
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn 
• Good written and verbal communication skills
