Position Overview
This role leads renewable energy civil engineering projects across the region. Responsible for managing project portfolios from planning and permitting through design, construction, and commissioning while supporting business development and client growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage renewable energy projects and portfolios
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and secure local approvals and permits
- Develop and evaluate plans for utility-scale and distributed generation projects
- Coordinate in-house engineers, designers, surveyors, and specialty consultants
- Support municipal and state approval processes
- Oversee projects through construction and commissioning
- Participate in marketing, client development, and proposal writing
- Present at public meetings and industry events
- Supervise and mentor mid-level and entry-level staff
- Travel to project sites and conferences as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Experience managing renewable energy projects preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead projects from planning through construction
- Experience navigating municipal or state approval processes
